A Calf Named Backyard

The Backyard family continues to grow in the most unexpected way. On 2 October, at the facilities of Leche Sandra —one of the partners of the Gran Canaria Backyard Ultra 2025— a very special calf was born and given the name Backyard, in honour of our event.

The story began a few days earlier, when the organising team visited the farm. It was a rewarding experience that gave them the opportunity to see first-hand the work, care and dedication with which Leche Sandra looks after its cows 🐮🥛.

The birth of Backyard goes far beyond sport: it represents roots, commitment and community.

🙏 From the organisation, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Leche Sandra for such a special gesture.

We now have a new Puntal 🐮🔥 and, as soon as possible, we will go and visit her and present her with her race bib, because she is now part of the history of the Gran Canaria Backyard Ultra.
